Who Makes Comfee Dehumidifiers?

Looking for the best dehumidifier can be a difficult task if you don’t know which brand to choose from. Dehumidifiers come in a range of capacity with a variety of features available for many different purposes. For first-time users, the most important aspect you’re looking for may be simple functionality in a dehumidifier. Most of the portable dehumidifiers today feature easy-to-use controls for your convenience.

Comfee may not be a name familiar to most homeowners. The company currently offers a single dehumidifier model manufactured under the Midea group of brands. It also offers other heating and cooling solutions as well as kitchen appliances.

The Comfee dehumidifier has almost anything you may need in a modern dehumidifier. But just like the Midea brand, it is not without a few disadvantages. This smart dehumidifier is still pretty new to the market and lack customer reviews that could tell us about its quality and reliability.

Comfee Dehumidifier

Comfee Dehumidifier

The Comfee dehumidifier has the capacity to remove up to 20 liters of moisture per day. It is recommended for humidity control in small rooms up to 57 square meters. This is equivalent to about 40 pints per day in a 600 square feet room. It’s ideal for humid rooms like a basement.

Similar to other refrigerant dehumidifiers such as the Midea units, this smart and compact Comfee dehumidifier includes easy-to-use controls with a small digital display and a built-in humidistat. It also features a 24-hour on/off timer, two fan speeds, and the standard auto shutoff, auto restart, and auto defrost features and the corresponding indicators. You can also choose from Dryer, Continuous, or Smart dehumidification mode when operating. Additionally, Comfee offers wireless control from an app on your smartphone.

Comfee comes with a 3-liter water tank, or around 6.3 pints or 0.8 gallons. Considering its maximum capacity of 40-plus pints per day, this tank capacity is considerably small compared to similar dehumidifiers. You may attach a standard garden hose to the drain outlet to enable gravity drainage,

Pros
• Small and portable
• Easy to use control panel
• Wireless controls
• Continuous drain option
Cons
• Small tank capacity
• Low energy efficiency

Who Makes Comfee Dehumidifier?

Comfee dehumidifiers come from the same manufacturer as Midea dehumidifiers. Midea is a multinational company headquartered in China with over 200 subsidiaries. The Midea Group carries a range of well-known and trusted brands of home appliances and electronics. Midea appliances are particularly popular for some of the best portable and window type air conditioners today, featuring some unique product designs that provide both efficiency and performance.

Among the Midea group of brands, Comfee is dedicated to providing simple comfort and high efficiency to consumers. It is evident from the product design and features that it aims to make your user experience as convenient as possible with simple, intuitive controls.

Comfee Dehumidifier Design and Features

Humidity Control

The Comfee dehumidifier features most of the same features as other top-rated dehumidifiers in the market. It has a similar design and appearance to almost any dehumidifier except for a few minor differences. It features a small digital display on top with control buttons where you can set and adjust the operation. From the right, you have the power button, the mode button with corresponding indicator lights for Dryer, Continuous, and Smart modes.

Then, you have the plus and minus buttons to select your desired humidity level from 35% to 85% on the digital display. The unit will cycle on and off automatically to maintain this setting. You can also choose between high and low fan speed. Additionally, you can set a timer to turn the unit on or off after one to 24 hours. Lastly, the wireless button enables the dehumidifier to connect to your network for easier control through your smartphone.

Dehumidification Mode

In Dryer mode, the unit runs at high fan speed to help dry your wet laundry. In Continuous mode, it dehumidifies the room nonstop for 24 hours or until your set timer is up. In Smart mode, the humidity is set automatically from 45% to 55% based on the ambient temperature. The standard auto shut-off, auto restart, and auto defrost features are also present. Instead of a defrost light, there is a corresponding code that displays when the unit is currently defrosting.

Design and Build Quality

The overall design of Comfee is similar to a lot of other dehumidifier brands, from the built-in wheels to the handle on the top for portabiity. Similar to top dehumidifiers like Frigidaire, Comfee has a top exhaust, an air filter at the back, and a transparent water tank on the bottom. The quality can be compared to other dehumidifiers from Midea. Although the tank may be too small for some, Comfee offers a continuous draining option through a drain hose, which is not included with the unit. Unlike other high capacity 40 to 50-pint units, Comfee does not include a condensate pump option for continuous draining.

Dehumidification Performance

Comfee currently offers only one dehumidifier model. It is marketed as a 20-liter dehumidifier or equivalent to a 40-pint dehumidifier. The old 30-pint dehumidifier with model number CAD20C1BWT is no longer available. Unlike the Midea dehumidifiers, this current Comfee dehumidifier is not certified by Energy Star, thus we cannot guarante its efficiency. Nevertheless, if Midea’s performance and efficiency are any indication, then Comfee can give you everything you may need in a portable dehumidifier.

Conclusion

Overall, this Comfee dehumidifier can be the best choice if you’re looking for simple and convenient humidity control in your room. Manufactured under a brand of known and trusted home appliances, Comfee provides both comfort and high performance in one compact structure. Although it’s not currently Energy Star rated, it comes with the same efficiency that users love about the Midea brand. It features all the necessary functions in a dehumidifier with the additional option for wireless operation. One disadvantage is the small tank capacity, but you can easily solve this with a standard garden hose for continuous drainage. Just make sure the hose is secure and it’s draining correctly. With proper care and timely maintenance, most dehumidifiers from any brand can last a long time.
